Master Players Concert Series

Gore Recital Hall in the Roselle Center for the Arts, 110 Orchard Rd, Newark, DE 19716

A chamber music concert celebrating the artistic achievements of three master musicians. Violinist Judith Ingolfsson will give her Delaware debut performance with her personal interpretation of J.S. Bach’s Solo Partita in B minor. A professor of violin at the Peabody Conservatory of Music at Johns Hopkins University, Ingolfsson will also join UD’s own nationally-acclaimed professor of piano Christine Delbeau and Israeli virtuoso cellist Michal Schmidt in a fiery performance of Johannes Brahms’ Piano Trio in B Major (No. 1), Op 8. In addition, the transformative music of Mozart will be shared by Delbeau and Ingolfsson in their first collaboration, a performance of his Sonata for Violin and Piano in B Flat Major, K. 454. Schmidt will open the concert with a solo performance of “Sola” by Tamar Muskal, a piece that influenced the title of her recently released CD.
